OFFICERS 2022-2023
President: Jazmine Gonzalez
Hello, Hello! My name is Jazmine Gonzalez and I am incredibly excited to be your President for the year! I still can not fathom the fact that I am able to say that because never in a million years did I think I’d become the President of anything. It really is a privilege and I can not wait to spend the year with y’all and my amazing board. We have so much in store for y’all this year!
A little bit about me: I am currently a fourth year (woah) Public Health Sciences major and I am originally from Hawthorne, CA. My dream is to become a pediatrician BUT I am open to pursuing other career paths so long as I am still able to work with kiddos! I come from a big Mexican family so when I originally came to UCI, I was looking for a community in which I felt safe and welcomed, just like back home. And not to sound cheesy, but GMT is honestly what finally made UCI feel like home. I joined GMT during my first year at UCI and I immediately felt welcomed as members would invite me in and encourage me to participate during workshops and socials. Fast forward to three years later, GMT has really helped me grow personally and professionally AND best of all, I’ve made some of my best friends in this club.
I cannot wait to spend my last year with y’all and if you're ever down to go to Disneyland… HIT ME UP. Also, if you’re a fan of Lin Manuel Miranda, my respect for you has immediately gone up 10-fold. But seriously, I genuinely hope GMT becomes a safe and fun space for y’all as it has been for me all of these years. I can not wait to make more core memories with y’all, and if you ever need or want someone to talk to, hit me up! I know college can be pretty tough, especially during your first year as a first-gen, so please don’t hesitate to reach out! See y’all soon :)

Vice President: Claire Stewart
Hey everyone! My name is Claire Stewart and I’m super excited to be your Vice President this year! I’m a fourth year human biology major (iykyk) and I’m from Fresno, CA. I aspire to be a doctor someday and my biggest passion is serving underserved communities, and increasing access to healthcare. I’m not sure about the specialty I want to go into, but I’m thinking either family medicine, OBGYN, or pediatrics:)
GMT has been the best part of my college experience and I’m so grateful to be able to share everything the organization has to offer with all of you! I remember being an intimidated freshman looking for clubs that catered towards health careers, while also being friendly and welcoming. Immediately after going to one GMT event, I knew this organization was everything I was looking for, and more. We invite everyone no matter their background, major, or long-term career goal to come out and help us help others. We guarantee there’s something for everyone, whether that’s the opportunity to be involved in the community, find an amazing mentor, or make lifelong friends.
Of course, since it’s my last year in sunny Socal, I’m always looking for an opportunity to have fun with new friends. I have a Disneyland pass (Jazmine copied me) and am ALWAYS down to go (for real I went the day before a midterm one time). I also love the beach, and I love trying new food places. Once again, I’m so excited to meet everyone (or see you again) and make amazing memories this year:)
Workshop Coordinator: Brenna Rupprecht
Hi everyone!! My name is Brenna Rupprecht and I am a fourth year biological sciences major. I will be one of your workshop coordinators alongside Raymond. We are so excited to share with you some interesting information on health related topics. We have a bunch of fun, interactive presentations planned, so come on out! I attended my first GMT workshop winter quarter of my first year looking for some guidance on healthcare careers but I stayed for the people. GMT has some of the most amazing members and I love this little community I have found at UCI. I am currently on the path to become a physician assistant and hope to work in pediatrics with the little kiddos one day!! In my free time I love crocheting, going on camping and hiking adventures, playing piano and ukulele, and listening to musicals. I can’t wait to see all your beautiful faces at our workshops, socials, and advocacy events this upcoming year! <3
Workshop Coordinator: Raymond Truong
Hey everyone! My name is Raymond. I am a third year biology major and I will be your workshop coordinator this year! Brenna and I will host some cool workshops for you to hopefully enrich your knowledge throughout your pre-health journey. I joined GMT during my 2nd year after the whole virtual school year situation in hopes to meet new people and create new friends! I ended up with a second family here and created so many fun memories.
A bit about me is that I was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley. In my free time I like to play the piano or guitar, workout, binge watch anime, play video games, and hang out with friends! I also love everything Marvel so come to me and we can discuss :D. Can’t wait to see y'all at GMT. Let's create amazing memories!
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

Advocacy Coordinator: Trish Nguyen
Hey everyone, I’m Trish and I’m one of your Advocacy coordinators alongside Tiffany! I’m a fourth year psychology major and am from the OC area! I’m really excited to create new volunteering events and meeting a bunch of you guys!
As of right now, I am pre-PA with an interest in dermatology and neuro-critical care. So if you have any questions about being pre-PA, feel free to ask me ! :). Some of my interests are clothes (i have a shopping addiction LOL), binge watching shows (kdramas & criminal-shows) , the beach, skincare, R&B/Pop music (The Weeknd, Bryson tiller, kehlani, etc) and food hehe. Anyways, I joined GMT since I was pretty captivated that we get to do medical service in underserved communities in other countries. I’ve always wanted to provide people with medical needs on a larger scale and GMT definitely aligned with my interests. Upon joining GMT, I discovered so much more that came with the club such as the many volunteering opportunities, the fun socials, and very useful workshops. The people in GMT made me feel very welcomed and provided me a place where I felt like I belonged and offered so many great opportunities to help others.
Definitely don’t feel afraid to do new things as it could provide you with so many opportunities! If I could, I would’ve joined GMT my freshman year. But, if you have any questions or even to just talk about random stuff, feel free to hit me up! I’m excited to see y'all this Fall! :))

Advocacy Coordinator: Tiffany Le
HIII, I'm Tiffany Le and I will be working alongside Trish this year as your Advocacy Coordinator. I am a 4th year Public Health Sciences major from the San Gabriel Valley (626 represent!). I am most excited to bring forth new and fun volunteering opportunities and hoping to bring a memorable moment to you in helping the community.
Some of my interests include food/cooking, the piano, volleyball, skincare, the beach, clothes and a newfound obsession for caps. Also ask me about my music taste and we can share :) I am Pre-Physician Assistant with interests in pediatrics or dermatology. I joined GMT as a way to meet more people outside the comfort of my own circle and to find like-minded individuals who care equally as much as I do for the underserved community. I also wanted to utilize the 4 years of Spanish I took in high school and bring it to fuller fruition by practicing and using it on our trips to Central American countries.
Project Coordinator: Salma Metwaly
Hi y’all!! My name is Salma and I am a 4th year Human Biology major hoping to pursue a career in the medical field. I’m from Santa Clarita, CA (literally where six flags is). This will be my second year serving on GMT’s board, with my new position being projects coordinator with Nayeli!! I am so excited about this position because it allows us to give you all a platform to give back to the underserved community in Santa Ana. This is truly something special to us because we are able to impact the lives of so many adults, teenagers, and children through our weekly food pantry and RAMP events.
In my spare time I love hiking, traveling, playing soccer, and being a plant mom. One of the biggest reasons why I love GMT is because of our hands-on workshops, volunteering, and clinic trips; it combines many of my interests all in one! In March of 2022, I went to our clinic trip in the Dominican Republic and it was truly a once in a lifetime experience. That being said, I encourage you all to make the most of your college experience by engaging with this club and taking advantage of the many benefits it offers!
Project Coordinator: Nayeli Garcia
Hi everyone! I hope that you’re doing well and that you decide to check GMT out. My name is Nayeli and I’m a 4th year Public Health Policy major wanting to pursue a career in nursing after graduating. I was the project coordinator last year and will be again this year alongside Salma. I’m excited to plan different volunteering events like food pantries and the monthly RAMP events as well as others.
Some of the things that I like to do in my spare time are going to the gym, cooking/meal prep, boxing, doing press on nails, listening to music (primarily in Spanish), learning a new language, skincare, watching k-dramas and trying new cafes. I’ve worked as a medical assistant so if you have any questions about what that is like, just ask me. Also, I would like to learn Brazilian Jiu jitsu.
Joining GMT is definitely going to be one of the highlights of my undergrad experiences, so I hope that you come to the events that will be held throughout the year. I’ve gained so many friendships because of it.

Financial Coordinator: Kim Vu
Hi guys! My name is Kim and I am a 3rd year Biological Sciences major as well as one of your financial coordinators for the 2022 - 2023 school year! I’m happy to be working alongside the best co-coordinator KHANH and am excited to be meeting and working with you all! Part of our job is to help manage GMT’s funds, make cost-efficient budgets, and help lower club expenses for you guys! A few things about me are that I was born in Saigon,Vietnam. I'm really into self care stuff (face masks, hair care, gym, etc.), trying out new places to eat, watching anime, and cooking! I’m also a big reggaeton fan (Bad Bunny, Rauw) so you can also bring that up if you’re trying to spark a conversation with me hehe.
After spending my freshman year at home due to covid, I found it difficult to meet new people during my second year especially because I was a commuter so I decided to get more involved by joining clubs. Once I learned about GMT, I decided to show up to one of the workshops and after getting to know some of the members and attending the socials, I decided to stay since not only did GMT provide me with lots of resources that guided me through my pre-health journey, it also made me feel welcomed and supported. I was able to make some amazing new friends within the club as well as some of my favorite college memories with them! Hopefully GMT can be something like that to you as well! If you ever need anything, don’t be afraid to send me a message! Can’t wait to see you all!! :)

Financial Coordinator: Khanh An Vu
Hey GUYS!! I’m Khanh, a 4th year bio and psychology double major. This will be my last year in GMT, and I’ll be working alongside the best co-coordinator, Kim, as financial coordinators. We’re both incredibly excited to host different fundraisers on ring road and working alongside other coordinators to budget and plan some of the best events: winter retreat and banquet. Be on a look out for us screaming on the ring road and don’t be shy to say hi!!
Joining this club has been one of the best highlights of my college journey. You go into the club exploring by yourself and ending up knowing a family. I love service to others, and through GMT, I am able to continue serving others through volunteer events and projects hosted by our advocacy and project coordinators and also at medical mission trips abroad. At the moment, I am unsure of what is after college for me but I am enjoying the process of uncertainty and the unknown. I hope you got to know each of us a little. Don’t be afraid to reach out regarding anything! Can’t wait to meet all of you guys!
Social Coordinator: Tara Mossadeghian
What's up ya’ll, I’m Tara! I’m a fourth year biology major coming from the Bay Area. I am one of your social coordinators this year. Part of my job is to plan events to get to know you all better, so if you have any suggestions for hangouts, let me know! :D
A little bit about me, I’m the strongest person in GMT. You’ll either find me at the ARC or dry scooping protein powder during my free time. I secretly put some in Dylan’s boba when he’s not looking. I’m currently on the path of going to medical school and becoming a surgeon. Most of my interest is within emergency medicine just cause everyday is so unpredictable. Initially, I joined GMT to find myself a community on campus. I ended up finding myself a family with the same passions, helping others & giving back. If you have any questions or need life advice, feel free to contact me! :)

Social Coordinator: Dylan Mai
Hello to the person reading this right now :) So you’re trying to get a sense of what GMT’s board looks like? (Well spoiler, the best board are just me and my co, Tara, obviously)
I’m a 4th year pre-med, Bio major, and I’m one of your social coordinators for this year! That means I’m responsible for planning all the fun activities GMT does with our family, from our quick week-to-week socials to our bigger events like winter retreat! A really quick “about me”: I like video games, fashion, food and boba (ALWAYS BOBA AFTER DINNER), keshi (maybe too much), and I’ve recently gotten into my new favorite hobby, climbing!
I joined GMT looking for a community of people who were interested and driven by the same passions and ideals that I have. I love medicine because I’ve always been interested in the human body and the different biological mechanisms to keep us alive. Not only that, but there’s nothing better than being able to help others around you who are less fortunate than you are, and that’s what GMT is all about :)
Feel free to reach out to me for anything! If you need a new friend, some advice, or just someone to talk to, shoot a message :D
Internal Publicity Coordinator: Hongmei Wu
Hello everyone, my name is Hongmei and I also go by May. I am a 4th year biological science major and biomedical engineering and statistics minors. I am an international student from Shanghai, China who has been here for 3+ years without going home due to the pandemic LOL. This year, I am the internal publicity coordinator at GMT and I will continue to design beautiful flyers,T-shirts, videos, and take pictures for GMT events with my new co-coordinator Christina!
The science of life and the humanity side of medicine intrigues me so much that I decide to take on the long and tough pre-med route and to pursue a career in internal medicine or pathology.I joined GMT because of its diversity and inclusiveness, and it has been one of my best experiences in college. Not only had I learnt so much about medicine and the underserved communities from workshops, volunteer events, and the clinical trip in the Dominican Republic, but I had also met so many amazing friends here who helped me grow.
Apart from study, I spend a good amount of time doing undergraduate research, clinical internships, and graphic design for GMT and UCI International Center. After I graduate, I will most likely apply for both medical schools and graduate schools when working as a research assistant and EMT at the same time.In my spare time, I enjoy jogging, listening to music, playing the piano, bird watching, photography, and cooking.
Hope you enjoy your time at GMT just as much as I do. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or simply need someone to talk to. I will be glad to help as much as I can (actually I am not as shy as I looked HAHA).

External Publicity Coordinator: Christina Marquez
Hello everyone!! My name is Christina and I am a 4th year Chemistry Major. I am from Palm Springs, California, which is known for its 120 degree heat. I love going to the gym and having brunch with friends!
I am the external publicity for this academic year. As a publicity coordinator, I will be taking lots of pictures and videos of you all during our GMT events, so get camera ready ;)
Once I graduate from UCI, I plan on applying to medical school to ultimately become a general practitioner.
I joined GMT because it has everything I was looking for in a club: community service opportunities, gaining clinical experience, networking, and a chance to make friends. The friends I made in this organization have been the highlight of my college experience. I look forward to meeting you all, and I hope you end up loving GMT just like I have!
