“What is your most favorite memory that involves your family?”
It’s a random moment with my sister. She is my younger sister, 12 years old. I got home from school around 8 o’clock at night after sitting through traffic. After I got home, I got hungry and my sister got hungry so then we just hopped in the car, went to get some food, and had a good time hanging out and catching up.
“Because of that age difference, is it easier or harder to get along with her?” I feel like it is harder to get along with her. It’s a seven-year gap between us. Especially with how the household and the family are structured, I am supposed to set the standard and be the role-model figure. Since I am the older brother, I have to do everything right and I am under a microscope consistently. If the age difference wasn’t so big, it would feel less like being under a microscope and I would have more actual interactions without that worry.
“Has your relationship with your sister always been the same?” Yes, I would say it has been the same. Ever since she was born, the second I saw her and thought, “wow, that is my little sister – I need to be a really good example and straighten up.” Ever since then, I’ve always tried to be the best role model I can be and I will continue to do that. Despite that, it doesn’t mean we don’t have fun per say, ya’ know? It's just that the things that I do otherwise - that most people wouldn’t really be thinking about - I have to be careful with such as social interactions and things that I do on my free time.
